Gay Marriage.

There are few things that people are more passionate about than this. Abortion may be one of them. Because some Supreme Court has justified traditional marriage on the basis of marriage generally being for procreative purposes, an activist group is attempting to do something stupid.

Gay Marriage activists are actually attempting to get a ballot measure that would require couples to first prove they are medically able to have children and then to have children within three years or have their marriage annulled.

This is specifically to semantically poke a finger in the eye of religious opposition to gay marriage, specifically “‘social conservatives who have long screamed that marriage exists for the sole purpose of procreation.'”

They need to get at least 224,800 signatures by July 6 to put it on the November ballot.

Hopefully there are not 224,801 people who agree with this.
